For more than 28 years, I’ve worked as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) at major hospitals across the Western United States. Throughout my career, I’ve been intrigued by eastern medicine and learning about the many homeopathic and holistic treatments and cures borrowed by Western medicine.

These discoveries inspired me to learn more so, in addition to embarking on a mission to become a certified Health Coach, I also went on to become certified in Ayurvedic coaching.

As a health & wellness coach, my goal is to help people regain their health and potential, to mentor, to give people the power to take charge of their lives to live a healthier, more connected and vibrant life.

Balancing family life with work is always a challenge, and living the mountain lifestyle adds even more challenges. I remember living in a small rural Idaho community and commuting 75 miles each way for work to the nearest regional hospital—driving thru whiteout blizzard conditions at times during the winter. This took me away from many of the things I really wanted to do, like spending quality time with my family, getting outdoors, cooking, and of course my health and well being.

One of the activities that has helped me maintain a life balance has been the implementation of 10 habits based on circadian rhythms, meditation, healthy eating, self massage and being mindful to name a few. These habits are based on the Ayurvedic healing tradition; the sister science to yoga. While I have more than 25 years of professional experience in Western Medicine, I have also embraced these habits for  guidance on many things which in turn, have had a positive effect on my mental and physical health.
